Behind the Scenes

Our millennium performance slipped out to November due to other commitments around Easter, but it was well worth waiting for!

"Murder in the Air" by Peg Sheldrick is an interactive whodunnit set in an aircraft hangar on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Cyril Pierce Ninny (a.k.a. "Budgy"). The guests get to mingle with the suspects over a drink and the evening is full of surprises as well as laughs.

Birthday celebrations began with a musical offering from Christchurch's wealth of talent. The Andrews Sisters made an appearance as well as a 'sanitised' Barbershop Quartet. After the interval a shocking revelation is presented by Holden Gunn, private eye, who then has to sort out which of the assembled guests is guilty of ... murder!

Performances were held at Central Methodist Church, Letchworth and the Queen Mother Theatre in Hitchin - raising a total of over £1200 for the North Herts Winter Shelter in Nightingale Road, Hitchin.
